I first read this a couple of years ago. I like it better on rereading it, as I’ve gotten more accustomed to Lee’s style.
Angie is cut from the cloth of Lee’s size-queen hotwives - in control of herself, delighted when she can succumb to lust and ultimately reassuring enough that Scott can, after wrestling with his emotions, allow her her slutty freedom and himself his viewing pleasure, secure in the knowledge she’ll return to him.
After barely holding back from a horny masseur, after giving in to a charming older man as Scott watches, Angie finally goes whole hog at Scott’s instigation, spending an evening playing Desiree the hooker at a Vegas hotel.
Later, Scott watches Angie with her old boyfriend Victor. He realizes the depth of their previous attachment and her latent sexual attraction despite Victor having dogged her with her best friend, the cause of their breakup. Angie’s still mad at him, but that doesn’t stop her from surrendering to his hung charms at a wedding they all attend.
Through the two-part series the couple teeter-totters back and forth. Scott is more ambivalent than Lee’s stags tend to be. He loves Angie’s escapades but cringes afterwards, wondering if he can possibly stand any more. She returns chagrined, but he can’t hide his arousal and she can’t help but notice. She offers to pull back. He accepts. They do. Time passes. One day he realizes her latent lust, rolls the dice as it were, and she starts again.
I like how they sidle into the whole thing to begin with, as she gets hit on one night, and he deliberately withdraws so it can proceed unimpeded. She fools around, doesn’t go that far, but later confesses to his delight that she wanted to. And he arranges for her to see the man again.
I really enjoy Matt's writing, but compared to some of his other stories, in my opinion this one wasn't as good. Don't get me wrong bit was good, but others were better.

Matthew Lee always seems to come up with a new way to tell the hot wife story. This book is a well written addition to the genre, I can't wait for part 2.
